Editor: Wrote and managed content, sourced and coordinated guest editors and freelance writers; developed a network of contributing print and broadcast media influencers and business leaders. Transitioned to ‘Green Business’ content framework; developed (an unused) social media strategy. Focused on creating working relationships with industry associations, CEO’s, academics, and senators, as well as state and local agencies involved in business practice regulation. Represented the magazine in public events, and analyzed and contextualized trending topics to better explain ‘Big Picture’ implications. Promoted an understanding of sustainability and its policies, practices, and ethics and how they affect stakeholders.

Capstone: Risk Communications Strategy for Eloise Hirsh, Director of Freshkills Park, Staten Island NY

Performed influencer, partnership and communications research; media analysis and collated metadata; and co-created a strategic plan for an ongoing risk communications plan, to explain the transition from Fresh Kills Landfill to Freshkills Park for local stakeholders. The communication strategy overcame 100+ years of grassroots opposition to the landfill, and a local political stalemate.
